Happy Feast of the Circumcision!

Besides being the Solemnity of Mary, the Holy Mother of God, and the Eighth Day (Octave) of the Nativity of the Lord—a holy day of obligation for Catholics—it is also the Feast of the Holy Circumcision of the Christ Child.

In more infamous designations, this day has also been known as Feast of Fools’ Day, All Fools’ Day, and Feast of the Asses. And, it is very likely closely connected with the Fool card of the tarot. For a more in-depth explanation, please enjoy reading this previous blog post on the subject.
